Our first guest artist at Cultivate Evolved will be painter JULIE CAVES. Julie will be the first in what we hope will be an ongoing line of guests joining the nine resident artists at Cultivate Evolved. Julie Caves will be our tenth artist from Thursday January 2nd until January 15th
“Julie Caves is a contemporary artist working in North East London.
Julie began her art studies in California, studied art in Spain, received a BFA in Studio Art (Sculpture and Printmaking) in Texas, and an MA in Bookarts from Camberwell College of Arts in London.
She has participated in exhibitions in the US, Spain, Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Norway and the UK. She has artists’ books and original prints in a number of public collections including the Tate Britain Gallery Special Collection. Her paintings are in numerous private collections.
Julie Caves’ work celebrates beauty and its many juxtapositions: work and play, nature and synthesis, life and death, macro and micro, Heaven and Hell. She is constantly walking the tightrope between polarities.”
Julie Caves has been a regular contributor to group shows at Cultivate.
