Cultivate artists at Way Art West under the shadow of the Westway, the next physical Cultivate in Crystal Palace and…

We’ve been busy since Mixtape no.7, Mixtape it self has been busy, we’ve been busy on our own things, Cultivate is mostly a now and again thing these days, the days of a full time 24/7 gallery operating a proper 365 days a year are probably long behind us. We don’t anticipate opening a permanent art gallery again anytime soon but then again you never know. We do anticipate more nomadic activity when the we find the right space and the time and it feels like the correct thing to do and more importantly, it doesn’t infringe too much on our own artistic practices (although I do now consider curating shows to be part of my artistic practice, far more than I did during the days of Vyner Street and the full time gallery). Yes there will be more online shows, yes there will be more Mixtape shows, more reaching out around the globe and beyond the London bubbles via out online shows that s omany have embraced inthe right way.

Right now we’re busy with an Art Car Boot Fair event that’s coming up this Friday, catch both Emma Harvey and myself (Sean Worrall) over by the Westway in West London as two of the invited artists taking part in Way Art West.

Way Art West is coming up this Friday afternoon/evening, over by the Westway, West London, W12. a whole load of art, about 20 or so invited Art Car Boot Fair artists as well as DJs, music and a party once you’ve explored all the art. Lowlife DJs spinning upbeat Summer NY influneced House Music (although don’t be asking me the difference between NY House and Chicago House, to me the Westway means Hawkwind, Killling Joke and JG Ballard). It all starts at five, come explore some art, then stick around for the music and hopefully a post election party and lots of slef-serving Tories votted out. More details here including ticket details – ORGAN PREVIEW: The Art Car Boot Fair joins Low Life for a Way Art West party by the Westway over in West London, we’re promised a post election comedown or dance up or art attack or something like that, hopefully we’ve voted them out by then…

We are thinking about Cultivate though, we are Cultivating, we are busy with other things but we are sorting out the next physical Cultivate show over in an excellent space called Free The Gallery over in Crystal Palace. You can read more about the space via the link that is coming up, we will be pulling the line up of artists together over the next week for our own show in the same glorious space…  ORGAN THING: Bloom, a beautifully left-field artist-led rule-breaking group show at Free The Gallery, London SE19…

Meanwhile, just in case you don’t know there is constant art coverage to be found over on the Organ website – reviews, news, opinions, interviews and more.
