Forget anything we might have said already about the next Cultivate online shows, Emma and I have been busy, the Summer has been long, it has almost runaway with us and yes, we did question the notion of more online shows, do we need to go on with them?  Do hey serve a purpose?  We do like the way they reach out beyond the London bubble, it does allow us to work with artists from all over the globe, it does mean people who don’t live in London can explore the art and yes, we know it isn’t a substitute for standing there in an actual gallery or some kind of art space where the pieces of work can talk to you directly, where you can smell them, where you can get lost in them. There is a place for online shows though and so, without any further delay or debate, we’ll just get on with it…   

What We Did This Summer will feature work from seven artists familiar to Cultivare and bacuse new artistic blood is always important to us, we shall be introducing Yasmin Grant and her rich textures. we came upon Yasmin, well that deosn’t really matter, we’re always on the lookout for interesting artists, her art really came to lifeafter a studio visit, which, yes I know, kind of proves toy really need t osee art in the fleah and not on line, her studio was alive with colour, read an Organ feature onthe visit here – ORGAN: A visit to Yasmin Grant’s London studio.
