Who is Jasmin Reif? We don’t really know, she flew here via the open call we held for the forthcoming Interact show. Alongside the artists we directly invited to take part, we wanted to find five artists we knew nothing about, fresh blood and new art. We ended up selecting eight from the many many who responded to the open call.  So who is Jasmin Reif? Well we don’t really know other than she’ one of the eight artists we selected via the open call and we’re rather looking forward to seeing what she might bring along to the Interact show. Jasmin Reif is a German-born London-based fine artist with a strong leaning towards the creative politics of fashion (or maybe I read the images wrong and that’s way off the mark?) and well, here’s a taste of some of her performance, her video making, her wool and paint as well as her, well actually, here, have some imagery, we’ll ask her about it all after Interact has happened. Let’s see what Jasmin does for the show in two weeks, and while we await the opening of Interact, here’s three rather intriguing videos and further down, beyond the three videos, some more imagery to explore

Interact opens at 6pm on Thursday June 15th (6pm until 9pm) and then 11am to 6pm Friday 16th until Sunday 18th. You can find the show, just off the Hackney Road, by the Sebright Arms at Coate Studios, 37 Coate Street, Hackney, London, E2 9AG.
