Well let’s see, Cultivate, what’s happening at our beautifully messy East London artist-run gallery space half way down Vyner Street?
What’s happening at our beautifully messy East London artist-run gallery space half way down Vyner Street?
Well, the experiment that has been the evolving RE-UP group show is drawing to an end, the ever replenishing show is open late this First Thursday evening, we’ll be open from 6pm until 9pm (as will a healthy selection of other galleries and spaces down Vyner Street, looks like there’s some interesting shows opening tomorrow by the looks of things, great show over the road at Hada Contemporary at the moment). RE-UP will now go on until Sunday afternoon, 5pm (the weekend after a First Thursday is always a good time to explore the street, see all the shows without the pushing and shoving, worth a weekend visit for the Derek Jarman show at Wilkinson at the moment, Wayward meanwhile threaten us with a mix of Street art and skateboards)
Read about the current Re-Up show, see some photos of the art and explore our thoughts on artist-run spaces, our time in Vyner Street and our next moves via the following links, please please do take the time to have a read, we’ve put a lot of time and effort in to this space and trying to create something better for both artists and those who view art…
LAST GROUP SHOW ARTIST CALL THEN
The final show at our space in Vyner Street will be a three week affordable art event, a Christmas flavoured cornucopia of street art, fine art, pop art. We want one more show alive with smaller pieces of affordable Christmas present shaped art, but please do remember, art is for life not just for Christmas… The show will open with a late night opening on November 21st and run through December First Thursday until we close on December 8th
Artists who wish to be involved, should, as always, get in touch for full details, simply reply to this e.mail or alternatively contact us via email@example.com – send us an e.mail and we’ll send you full submission details straight away.
See you tomorrow, First Thursday, come re-up with us, come see the art, bring your own drink, we’re skint, we can’t afford any…..
oh and why not help with the fundraising and buy yourself a chair, might only cost you a penny…
