FREE LEWIS BANISTER

Well it looks seriously wet out there. makes it kind of hard to leave art outside the gallery today for FREE ART FRIDAY. but hey, a bit of heavy rain doesn’t need to stop things, free art can be brought to Cultivate, Vyner Street, E2 during opening times, people can come find free art, and we’ll carry on all weekend….. A bit of rain doesn’t stop artistic activity….

Big thanks to everyone who came out to our second ART IS FOR LIFE late night opening, the show, the affordable art and the fund raising goes on until 23rd December, this is about our survival….  the simple task of paying the bills and keep the gallery doors open and art happening on out terms…  we have a gallery full of affordable art, canvas pieces for £5, Carrie Reichardt tiles for just £10, Loolie Hapgood plates, Zoe Crosse paintings, Lewis Banister dollars, we have prints, we have…. well come see, art is for life, not just Christmas…

SO WHAT IS BANG!

So you;re asking about BANG! What is it? Is it us hitting the new year running or is it us going out with a bang!? For the last couple of months I’ve been asking you if you want artist-rub spaces and if you do, then come get involved.  For 15 months two of us have been running this space, battling to keep it alive, dealing with the negativity of a gallery system that doesn’t like artists doing it themselves, especially on ‘their’ turf down a unique street like this.
