The sun is out, the heatwave is almost here, red red red… Trying to keep these gallery e.mail newsletters short and put the meat of what we need to say on the now almost daily update gallery blog. I know you’re busy and don’t have time to read e.mails. To the point(s) then…
RED REVISED goes on this FIRST THURSDAY
– 20 artists sharing the very red walls of Cultivate, the show goes on this coming First Thursday and onward through the weekend, 20 diverse red flavours… Thanks to everyone who’s already been to the show, to last week’s opening and the first week, we like turning things red, and it does seem like a good way of marking eighteen months as an artist-run space in the middle of Vyner Street. Lots going on this First Thursday, a lot of the gallery spaces that have been in winter hibernation are waking up now the clocks have gone forward, expect lots to be open up and down Vyner street… (bring your own drink of g ograb some from the unfriendly big gallery at the end of the street, we drank all ours at the opening last week)

RED REVISED goes on got another week, and then comes the second TEN show, TEN:2 Opens on April 11th, full details of that one in a mailout about nothing but that show, expect it this weekend, TEN 2 is ten artists sharing the gallery walls and such, expect art from COS AHMET, LIMBO, LAURA BODO LAIBER, MICOL PROVOSI, ZOE CROSSE, KAVITA SAGAR, EMMA HARVEY, MICHELLE MILDENHALL and…

FIRST FRIDAY ARTIST NETWORKING MEETING – Quite simple really, a chance for artists (and anyone else interested) to meet up, share ideas, network and generally chat without some be smart type organisation charging us artists for the privilege of meeting up, so artist meet up and talk this Friday at Cultivate (and maybe every First Friday), details here
LATEST ARTIST CALL: Coming up later in April, YOU. You is a two week open call group show that we invite all interested artists to come submit work to. Most of the time our group shows have themes, some people say we never have themes that your work fits in with, this time you have no excuse. Come submit work and get involved (and yes we will be picky, an open call doesn’t mean anything goes, we have to be excited by the work enough to want to share it via our walls). Details here
