Where were we? Somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert in our purple Mint 400 t-shirts when the paint began to take hold? And so the The Art Car Boot Fair Christmas Wrap Party happened, we were nowhere near Barstow really, we were down by the river in Vauxhall and Mint 400 was another time and way back in another place – what a band they were for those glorious 15 minutes back there.

So the Art Car Boot happened and no doubt the mainstream art media is going hit you with little more than ta photo or two of the big names, very little about the art or what really really happened last Sunday – if you really want a flavour, then there’s a whole load of words and photos over on the Organ pages, a little more than just a photo of Gavin Turk smiling if you know what I mean. We had a great time at the fair, thanks everyone, the words and images are over there and of course we love Gavin Turk’s smiling face don’t we? Surely it has to be about a hell of a lot more than just a photo of the name behind his or her stall, and really do we have to run our own media as well as our own art spaces? Fine, bring it all on, we grew up on DIY punk rock attitudes and broken photocopier ethics, we were doing this long before Mint 400 let loose with Natterjack Joe ..

Last Sunday and the Art Car Boot Fair was indeed all the fun of the fair, if you didn’t make it then there;s one or two pieces from last Sunday over in the Cultivate shop,.

Meanwhile we’re off and running with the next things. There’s an Open Call element to out next physical show, the show is called Attract, the open call details are over there, we’re back to basement in January so get on the case now, and yes, there be more along in a minute, time for another on-line show as well as the physical one at BSMT Space don’t you think? We’ll be along with more in a bit, we’;ll announce the first of the artists for Attract in a moment, James Bell will be with is again, Lennie Lee will be with us for the first time, brilliant to have Lennie involved
