Now that the dust has settled on this Spring’s Art Car Boot Fair (a big big thanks to everyone who came along or checked out the on-line version) we can focus on the next thing(s)
Besides this weekend in Bristol and the Upfest (for some of us), the next thing is the small matter of a big fair in the big (big) back yard at Five points Brewery here in Hackney on Sunday 12th June, Midday until 8pm. Entry is free
The Five Points Brewing Company and Cultivate are coming together with artists from all over London and beyond to host our first Art Show in the Yard. Expect a gathering of painters, performers, art stalls, installations, music and plenty of Five Points pints all under the iconic railway arches in the big Five Points yard, just down the road from Broadway Market.
Cultivate, once a gallery based on Vyner Street, now nomadic, founded by artists Emma Harvey and Sean Worrall, Cultivate has been a thing for eleven years now. Art events in condemned warehouses, Edwardian dress shops, in formal white walled galleries, at dog shows, in car parks, in an old greengrocers, on line, on market stalls, at the seaside. Cultivate is about artists coming together to make things happen.
Five Points have been brewing with passion and integrity in the heart of Hackney, East London, since 2013. Modern and vibrant beer, always unfiltered and unpasteurised. Bottle, can, keg and cask.. Participating artists to be announced soon, Emma and I have our curating hats on right now pulling it all together….
The Participating Artists names for Five Points will be along in a moment, Emma and I are working on it all right now, Expect names familiar to Cultivate over the last ten years as well as a new name or two.
Indeed, if you are an arist based in and around Hackney or East London and you’re interested in taking part then feel free to get in touch with us here at Cultivate (please note we ony work directly with artists, not their galleries or representatives, Cultivate is about artists working together)
We’ve been busy with the Five Points thing,. The Art Car Boot Fair and Upfest and so the monthly on-line show for May has been put on hold The April Cultivate on-line show, the 4th of 2022 can be explored here and we wil lbe along with more on-line acticity and reaching beyond London in June
Burst features 36 artists and just over 200 pieces of art from all over the land and indeed the globe (more about the May show later, we’re working on that one as well) And by the way, there are new prints and things to be found in the Cultivate on-line shop, we are adding work all the time.
